Purchase & Sales Ledger Clerk
THE COMPANY:
Brewster Pratap are recruiting an experienced Purchase & Sales Ledger Clerk for a large, well established Sheffield organisation. Based close to the motorway they are close to public transport links and are commutable from Barnsley, Rotherham, Chesterfield and Doncaster.
THE JOB:
The main purpose of the role is to assist with the accurate maintenance of the Group's purchase ledger registers and the on-time payment of suppliers as well as the efficient processing of sales ledger. Reporting to the Purchase & Sales Ledger Manager duties will include:
Maintaining the the Group's purchase invoice registers
Processing daily invoices received via post and email
Matching invoices to receipted purchase orders and inputting to the ERP system
Responding promptly to supplier queries; obtaining invoice due dates from the system and investigating any discrepancies
Liaising with commercial purchasing team to follow up any differences in standing data between invoice and system
Assisting with preparation for and processing of the mid-month and end-of-month payment run
Maintaining the Group's sales ledger, ensuring that overdue invoices are identified and followed up promptly with the relevant internal sales individuals and with end customers
Performing supplier statement reconciliations on key supplier accounts, ensuring that differences are followed up and resolved
Other ad hoc duties as required
THE PERSON:
Previous experience is essential
You must have excellent communication / customer service skills
You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
The ability to prioritise work load and work under pressure is essential
