Bates & Bradshaw are working with a large manufacturer who are looking to add an experience Transport Manager to their team to oversee a busy with in Bristol conducting various short and long distance deliveries.
Purpose of the Role
- To actively identify opportunities for development & improvement within the logistics network
- To ensure fleet compliance standards are adhered to and continuously improved
- To work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to support improvements with cost, service & quality
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure fleet operates with full compliance adhered to in terms of transport working time regulations
- Maintain Fleet servicing schedules and full trace-ability within vehicle files
- Manage staff effectively to create team synergy and achieve targets
- Have previous knowledge of route optimising software's and vehicle tracking applications (ie. HDI, Paragon, Navman)
- Carry out data analysis & forwarding on logistical routes to improve route optimisation & network growth
- Project managing logistics input within key business projects & developments
- Actively working with department heads to improve customer lead-times & experience with our delivery service
- Implementation of projects within the logistics department
- Responsibility for 40 drivers and 40 porters
- Conduct investigations as and when required
Qualifications & Experience
- 1-2 years' project management experience, Paragon, HDI or relevant transportation routing experience
- Relevant Transport Qualifications
- Transport Manager CPC Licence
