Your role as a lifeguard on poolside will be to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our guests. You will be required to assist in the smooth running of the pool by maintaining a high standard of service to our guests in line with Center Parcs policies as well as observing and supervising our guests to prevent dangerous behaviour and ensure pool rules are followed at all times. You must maintain a positive and professional attitude to exceed guest's expectations whilst they are using the facility and be responsible for acting immediately and rescue any swimmer who may be in difficulty or require first aid. In addition, you will be required to complete general cleaning duties around poolside. Successful candidates will be required to attend a NPLQ course and employment will be subject to passing the course. Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to apply for disclosure with the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB). This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence. HOURS OF WORK We have various contracts between 30 - 150 hours per 4 week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week but you will always receive your contracted hours each period. The part time hours of work are weekday evening shifts from 4.30pm to 10pm and weekend shifts (early or late) between 8am and 10pm. The full time hours of work are between 8am and 10pm all week. You will be required to work weekends and public/bank holidays on a rota basis. ABOUT YOU You must possess excellent communication skills and be friendly and approachable as you will provide a supportive role to our guests, providing personal attention and care at all times. Candidates will be required to successfully complete a swim test in order to progress to interview.
