Metrology Manager - Banbury - GBP45k - GBP55k + Package
Role:
A Major 1st tier automotive supplier is seeking a Metrology Manager to join their ever growing business.
In the role you will manage a team of 3 Quality/CMM Technicians to provide support for Metrology, analysis of data, CPK, gauging and measurement of products.
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for Metrology department.
- Analysis of data, CPK, gauging and measurement of products
- Reporting, fault finding and analysis of daily data to ensure the supply of best quality parts to customer requirements
- Ability to set and calibrate all gauges
- Ordering gauge spares and components
- SPC, control charts (Statistical analyses of results from capability studies and produce reports)
- calibration management
- CMM Programming
- Liaison with Production Engineering and Programme Management during and following analysis to enable process development
- Co-ordination and participation in new gauge / check fixture measurement system analysis including calculations (R&R studies).
- Generate gauge / check fixture specification and agree with customer
- Presentation of dimensional results to customer during build status events or ongoing production
- To project a professional image of the company to customers / visitors
- To use the escalation procedure for any issues/concerns e.g. Quality / downtime
Skills and Qualifications:
- ONC in engineering or relevant experience
- SPC knowledge
- Manual gauging, Calibration, data analysis
- TS16949 and APQP process
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge and experience of CMM programming
- Knowledge of quality standards Core Quality tools Inc TS16949
- Practical Problem Solving
Package:
- GBP45,000 - GBP55,000 basic salary
- Attendance Bonus
- Normal Days 8.00 - 16.30 Mon-Thurs/ 8.00 - 14.00 Fri
