We have a fabulous opportunity for a highly motivated Business Development Manager with superb new business development and account management skills to join this leading UK Trade Federation promoting the organisation and helping it to increase both new membership and improve retention rates.

Experience from within the Printing or related industries essential.

BASE SALARY: GBP30,000

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS: Car allowance + Pension + 25 days Holidays + Statutory Holidays.

LOCATIION: Bristol & South West

PURPOSE AND ROLE:

* Promote the Federation as a dynamic organisation dedicated to providing value added services to the members.
* Plan and implement recruitment activities and campaigns targeted at increasing membership and retention rates.
* Manage and analyse a designated territory to build a substantial and robust pipeline of prospective new members and to manage the current membership portfolio.
* Increase usage of services and products from existing and potential new members.
* Work with internal Marketing and Internal Administration teams to plan targeted marketing and call planning.
* Support the Federation at Regional Networking events, Board Meetings and National industry exhibitions.

PERSON REQUIREMENT - Membership Development Manager

* Significant print sector experience preferably gained at both operational and managerial levels.
* Worked within a sales and marketing orientated role preferably selling B2B solutions to SME companies.
* Knowledge of how a professional membership organisation or voluntary sector body operate (either from internally or as a customer/member).
* Wide range of influencing skills and the ability to present and communicate across all levels.
* Proactive & self-managing, enthusiastic, energetic and self-motivated
* High level of customer orientation and with the ability to develop strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
* Able to work at a fast pace and under pressure, with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal, written, numerical & IT skills
* Flexible and adaptable with a commitment to continuous professional development.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
