Lecturer in Maths

37 hours per week / 52 weeks per year

Salary range: £18,429 - £23,364 (Unqualified), £24,781 - £33,323 (Qualified) per annum (plus a £3,000 per annum market supplement)

We require a Lecturer in Maths at our Kettering campus, to plan and deliver successfully Maths, as appropriate, and carry out the tasks detailed, efficiently and effectively, within the curriculum/programme delivery areas, under the direction of the Head of Faculty.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and preparing teaching and learning programmes for groups and individuals. The successful candidate will also be responsible for promoting a stimulating learning environment, using a range of teaching and learning strategies and materials (including ILT resources) to encourage the development of learners' skills and understanding.

The successful candidate should hold a numerate degree (such as maths, or; engineering, science, social science with a statistical component) and a Certificate in Education (or have a willingness to work towards). The successful candidate should also have a good all round level of education to include Maths and English to GCSE (Grade A-C) or equivalent level (Level 2). Experience of teaching Maths to level 2 standard is desirable.
