Key Roles & Responsibilities
The role will entail the following responsibilities
Provide on-site and remote services for customers, including solution design, software installation/upgrade, configuration and integration with third-party software.
Perform on-site system health-checks, resolve operational issues and provide recommendations on operational best practices.
Define, estimate, design, develop and deliver software customisations.
Deliver high quality documentation (proposals, estimates, designs, operational instructions, acceptance test plans, etc.) as required.
Deliver product training to Entuity staff, customers and partners.
Assist Customer Support team, providing technical guidance and developing device support configuration.
Record time spent delivering Professional Services and report weekly to line-manager for management accounting purposes.
Maintain an awareness of network technologies relevant to the operation of Entuity products and services.
Essential skills and experience
We are seeking a high calibre individual who possesses the following mind-set, skills and experience:
5+ years experience in the field of IT Networks and Network Monitoring.
3+ years experience in deployment and operation of Entuity network monitoring software and integration with BMC ITSM software products.
Knowledge of Cisco IOS and associated Cisco hardware.
A strong understanding of the fundamentals and principles of networking, with the ability to apply that knowledge across a broad spectrum of equipment and vendors.
Self-confident and resourceful with a positive attitude.
Well organised and able to stay focussed when under pressure.
Enjoys problem solving and interaction with others.
Good communication skills and a sense of humour.
Flexible and prepared to work non-standard hours, when necessary.

Experience of Microsoft Windows and RedHat Linux
Experience of Virtualisation platforms
Experience of Active Directory Services
Experience of SQL databases
Experience of network monitoring protocols (SNMP, ICMP, Syslog, NetFlow)
