Account Manager Innovation (Point of Sale & Campaign Management)

The Role
The Account Manager - Innovation will act as a central point of contact for all client communication services requests for new ideas/solutions & mechanics, improving the existing POS. Creating value, maximize growth and improve the business performance of the client's strategy within the retail environment.
They will develop a comprehensive understanding of the clients business and will implement strategies to improve the Xerox offering within this area. The role will deliver a true innovation service advisory role to the client, providing collaborative advice on all aspects of POS print production and any other applicable communication channels, and ensuring the off-site production teams are provided with comprehensive briefs and job instructions. They will develop relationships at both tactical, Brand management and Marketing Specialists and will oversee operational direction to deliver operational excellence

As an Account Manager - Innovation your main responsibilities will be

  • Identifying issues, forming hypotheses and solutions and presenting findings and recommendations to clients
  • Review existing commodities for costs savings, increased performance or more appropriate solutions in the current market place
  • Consistent & regular time spent on site with client to identify the business critical priorities
  • Implementing recommendations/solutions and ensuring the client receives the required & necessary assistance required including:
  • Attend/lead store mock ups & Trial & test concepts in store
  • Produce instruction leaflets that are easy for stores to follow
  • Evaluate design agency and customer briefing to qualify technical feasibility and economic viability of ideas
  • Discuss with suppliers to gauge mechanic, material, sheet sizes and cost evaluations. Drive any required re-engineering including key learnings from past and present experience to drive robust solutions
  • Responsible for managing all new/reengineered solutions and ideas created by the innovation team through the buying platform (Brand centre/Aprimo). Adding new commodities where applicable
  • Manage program activities in the later phases of innovation, including specification writing, process and technology implementation, and communication and execution
  • Gather feedback and suggestions from Retail Operations and in store colleagues
  • Carry out and Manage 'wash up meetings' with client to determine the success
  • Communicate salient requirements with supplier management/delivery team
  • Update and maintain all innovation logs
  • Present new processes and ideas to improve productivity and performance
  • Undertaking research into the industry sector, markets and competitors
  • Attend trade shows
  • Retail days to review retailers/high street/grocery
  • Compiling and presenting information verbally, visually and in writing

As an Account Manager - Innovation your skills and qualifications would include:

  • Communications services industry/Account management experience, which must be gained from a full service Agency background in Point of Sale production and Campaign Management
  • Excellent client facing and customer service skills, experience within a customer facing role and with the ability to engage at all levels
  • A proven track record in managing and delivering multi-channel campaigns
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • A proven ability to build relationships and proactively develop new business opportunities
  • Evidence of account/client development and revenue growth (organic development)
  • Commercially strong and numerate
  • A creative thinker that is adaptable, pragmatic and a practical problem solver
  • Experience of collaborative workflow software and MI reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast moving environment
  • An organised individual with excellent attention to detail
  • A proven ability to articulate and deliver innovative and complex solutions
