My client is one of the leading manufacturing businesses in its industry supplying to a customer base that is made up of household names from multiple UK locations.
An opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join them at their production site in the South West as an Engineering Materials Manager.
As Engineering Materials Manager you will be required to be lead all aspects of materials management whilst managing the maintenance management systems, this role will also see you involved in the following:
- Management of supplier negotiation for multiple UK locations
- Monitoring site utilities and key consumables
- Placing orders through MRP software
- Stores and inventory management
- Engineering support through statistical analysis
- Manage orders for planned maintenance work
The successful candidate will have specific experience which include:
- Ideally CIP Qualified
- Experience of working within a manufacturing environment / engineering environment would be to your advantage
- Strong ability to negotiate
- Team management experience
- Implementing systems and processes
- Basic understanding of engineering principles
