Materials Controller

Gradus are a market leading Flooring and Accessories business based in Macclesfield, Cheshire.

A vacancy has arisen for a full time Materials Controller to work in our Logistics department at our site on the Lyme Green business park in Macclesfield.

Typical daily duties will include: ordering materials; managing suppliers costs, quality and performance; working closely with our Sales Office and Production teams to ensure stock availability; resolving raw material issues; sourcing suppliers for one off requirements; and co-ordinating the delivery/collection of materials from suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have excellent IT, organisational and analytical skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships with suppliers. Being able to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines is essential. Experience in an engineering/manufacturing production environment would be desirable. Previous negotiating and supplier management experience would also be an advantage.
