Multi Track Solicitor/Litigator

We are looking to add to our expanding Multi-Track department another experienced Multi-Track Solicitor/ Litigator to work on complex and poly-trauma claims.

The primary role is to obtain compensation for clients who have suffered long term and life changing injuries by understanding clients clinical and rehabilitation needs. To offer a professional and personal client
focused service.

  • Dealing with all aspects of a litigation focused on personal injury and rehabilitation and long term client needs.
  • Ensuring assigned caseload is managed effectively and in line with client service levels, court processes and internal expectations.
  • To process inbound calls and assist clients promptly.
  • To record all client contact accurately on proclaim case management system and update client systems where appropriate.
  • To record all third party contact accurately on proclaim case management system and record billing accurately. Answer client queries and provide status updates/advice in a professional and efficient manner whether this is via email communication or verbally via the telephone. All communication must be recorded on the case matter.
  • Work alongside approved experts and counsel and prepare none standard case by case letters of instructions to experts in all fields and counsel.
  • Compile witness statements and court documents and continually update proclaims case management system of key dates.
  • Attend upon clients and witnesses personally and if required.
  • Liaise with external third party companies, agents or other representing parties as required.
  • Treat all clients fairly, professionally and act within legislation, compliance and codes of conduct and the firm’s procedure and processes.
  • Manage daily banking, create and prepare bills, letters of payments paying client damages or disbursements.
  • Must be proficient in the rehabilitation code and CPR.
  • Must be able to self-manage daily tasks and ‘run of the mill’ follow up tasks/letters/phone calls or delegate to their support.
  • Provide assistance to other colleagues within the department as and when required.
  • Ensure all work undertaken is in line with internal and client service level agreements.
  • Accept and request guidance tuition and training on the methodology of work, utilisation of computer systems and other assistance at work.
  • Carry out all of the above with the view to the provision of high quality legal services and the achieving of high profitability within the firm.

Must

  • Must have at least 5 years multi-track experience specialising in multiple, orthopedic, psychiatric, brain injury and
  • chronic pain case.
  • Must be enthusiastic and committed.
  • Must show compassion and empathy but stay in control and on task.
  • Must have a good mathematical and analytical brain.
  • Must be able to demonstrate initiative.
  • Must be able to work independently and take direct instructions.
  • Must have excellent client care skills.
  • Must have excellent time management with the ability to multi-task and keep to deadlines.
  • Must have excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
  • Must be self-motivated and intelligent and able to work in a thriving busy and challenging environment.

Salary is dependent upon experience but upwards of £35k onwards plus company pension and group life insurance.

Holidays - 20 days a year holiday plus all statutory bank holiday.

Working hours Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm but must be flexible to accommodate client needs and out of office meetings.
