Job Description
My Client is the world leader in motion capture, developing high-performance software and hardware products for the entertainment, engineering and medical industries.
Summary:
We are looking for two enthusiastic Test Engineers to join our Test team based in Oxford. This role is best suited to someone with a passion for technology and an interest in developing their career at a company that creates market defining products for a broad and exciting customer base. You should be a technically adept and well-rounded individual with functional test experience. You will work within small dedicated project teams to ensure the ongoing quality of our software and hardware.
Role responsibilities:
The role will report to the Test Manager.
- Take responsibility for the development and execution of hands on software and hardware testing.
- Develop workflow tests representing important usage patterns in the software and hardware under development.
- Become expert in the software and hardware developed by the project team.
- Document results effectively and seek to improve test processes.
- Communicate regularly with the Test Manager, Product Managers, and Project Leads in order to develop a thorough understanding of the test requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Have at least 3 years' relevant experience as a Test Engineer.
- Good understanding of iterative software development processes and defect tracking software tools such as JIRA.
- PC configuration and appreciation of networking technologies.
- Experience with cameras and optics would be beneficial.
- A positive attitude with strong organisational and time management skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including fluency in written and spoken English.
- Confident and able to communicate professionally with a variety of individuals and groups.
- Self-motivated, inquisitive and resourceful in finding solutions by working with others.
- The right to live and work in the UK.
