Overall Purpose of the Role:
The role of Senior Production Operator is to ensure the manufacture of compliant components within the specific requirements of the organisation and customer requirements
A Senior Production Operator is responsible for ensuring that necessary equipment functions efficiently, setting up programmes and carrying out diagnostics and that all procedures work correctly.
Key Responsibilities:
,Assist with the induction of all operators in areas of
,Assist the production schedules by ensuring the most effective skill deployment
,Understand, monitor and maintain Statistical Process Control measures.
,Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
,Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
,Trains all operators in Standard Operating Procedure for specific task/job.
,Ensuring operators demonstrate an understanding of product quality requirements
,Ensuring the use of simple engineering measuring instruments.
,Monitor productions procedures are carried out effectively
,Ensure equipment is maintained by completing preventive maintenance requirements
,Troubleshooting malfunctions and calling for repairs.
,Report to Shift Leader and Production Manager on all product and machine related problems
,Undertake Product and tool changes and minor maintenance/repairs of machines.
,Monitor and self manage housekeeping requirements in line with lean/ 5S principles
,Adopt versatility between different cells within the organisation
,Understanding different production areas
,Understanding different production teams
,Take an active role in meetings and problem solving activities
,Participating in various training opportunities
,Provide production assistance and support to team members
,Train/mentor less experienced operator
