We are looking to hire a Management Accountant to join our support service team at our Hemel Hempstead office. This individual will be point of contact to manage the financials for each contract in their region. This is a role which influence deliverables within a high profile, where there is a clear and definite opportunity to add both operational and commercial value.

• Providing financial, commercial and strategic support to the Financial Controller, Senior Management Team Commercial team and Client
• Preparation and maintenance of clear and accurate management information
• Producing monthly management accounts, KPI's, budgets, forecasts and variance analysis
• Data modelling capabilities
• Managing the business planning process, P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
• Processing and interrogation of month end journals, prepayments, deferred income and work in progress schedules
• Providing meaningful commentary and analysis of financial data
• Maintain fixed assets register for their region
• Managing sales and purchase invoice processes to ensure transactions recorded correctly
• Providing support to external auditors
• Development of additional reporting for Senior Management as required, along with other ad hoc projects.
• Supervision and control of internal company policies relating to assets, expenses, business travel, benefits in kind and internally sourced services.
• Identify and report risks and breaches immediately
• Supervising, mentoring junior members of the team to improve their understanding of finance and performance.

Qualifications/requirements:
• Qualified or working towards a finance qualification (CIMA/ACCA/AAT)
• Qualification by experience of working in a finance function
• Knowledge of excel, power-point
• Knowledge of SAP, Basware and related systems
• Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
• Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
• Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity
