The Sussex Ox is an independent, family owned pub with its own organic farm situated in the surrounding area.
Our pub kitchen uses beef from our own herd of organically reared pedigree Sussex cattle, and lamb from our own flock of sheep. The farm also supplies the pub with potatoes and other seasonal fruit and vegetables.
We are looking for an enthusiastic chef de partie to join our kitchen team and to help increase our growing reputation as a destination for high quality pub food. The Sussex Ox has been grand finalists for the past two years running at The Sussex Food and Drink Awards.
Candidates must be willing to work split shifts and flexible hours, which will fluctuate around 42.5 per week.
You will need to be calm and organised, being required to work busy shifts, serving up to 200 people in a 2-3 hour period.
Due to the location of the pub it is crucial that the candidate be able to drive.
