Our Client is a domiciliary care company based within Gateshead; and are currently looking for a team of care workers due to continued development and expansion. As a home care worker, your role will involve helping vulnerable adults of all ages within their own homes and out into the community. This role involves you making a difference to the lives of people who require a bit extra support giving you a feeling of gratitude and satisfaction that not many jobs can match.
There are positions available in the following areas: Blaydon, Winlaton, Rowlands Gill, Whickham, Dunston as well as in Birtley, Lowfell, Teams, Bensham, Gateshead, Heworth Pelaw. Please let us know which area is best suited to you as we like to keep you to a specific area.
Your Role:
?? Your role as a care worker will be to assist our clients within their own home and out into society.
?? The role will involve travelling to and from client`s homes to carry out agreed and daily tasks agreed.
?? Your role will involve keeping the client`s dignity and helping them maintain their independence as much as possible.
?? Carers may also be expected to assist clients out in the community, such as with shopping or social events such as the cinema, theatre etc.
?? Your role will involve personal elements of care as well as domestic support, however, you are also there as a friend and companion to our clients, building up an excellent relationship with them.
Requirements for the role:
?? Full UK Driving Licence is required - due to the nature of Domiciliary care and having to travel between clients homes a car is essential.
?? Well organised and able to time manage effectively
?? Flexible and reliable
?? Able to use your own initiative and good communication skills are essential.
?? Must have a caring and compassionate personality.
Working Patterns:
?? Flexible working patterns available to fit around you
?? We also offer a 7days on / 7 days off available
?? Full Time - Monday to Friday + Alternate Weekends
?? Part time Morning positions or Evening Positons available + Alternate weekends
