With a strong focus on the Automotive sector, they have the set up to manufacture light steel metal pressings through to intricate fabrications. From their plant in Northampton, they are enjoying year on year growth within a competitive sector.
The Role
The Mechanical Engineer is a key position within the business. While maintaining the operational flow of the shop floor, the main duties also include:
•Implementing improvements to increase productivity through maximising process optimisation
• Maintain existing Value Stream Maps
• Be a pivotal part of the Quality Planning process
• Be the lead in Continuous Improvement Methods and give guidance and training to Manufacturing Staff
The Person
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following
• Qualified to Degree level in an Engineering discipline
• Previous experience within a Manufacturing Engineer position
• Experience with 5S and Continuous Improvement Practices
• A track record of delivering Productivity Improvements
Basic salary between GBP30,000 and GBP35,000 per annum.
