I am looking for a Chartered Structural Engineer to join a flamboyant team in the heart of Birmingham. They are looking for someone who is interested in working towards taking a lead role in an integral part of an international team. Most of the design work you will be undertaking in this role will be for High Rise, Commercial and Industrial projects in London, all of which will be extremely unique.
The opportunity will need you to lead and manage, research and consultancy work in structures assurance, standards, materials, maintenance, and design. The role requires a deep understanding of structures asset owner's needs, and the successful applicant will have a strong background in designing and/or maintaining transport-related structures.
Key Duties / Responsibilities:
*Ensure a consistently high level of technical quality, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of outputs, delivering high levels of customer satisfaction for projects within the Structures Portfolio.
*Lead, or participate in, contract negotiations.
*Ensure structures projects are profitable to the business, whilst effectively meeting the needs of the customer.
*Manage change appropriately within projects to reduce impacts on time and costs, and manage client expectations.
