Avenue 4 Forces have an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Engineer who will be able to repair faulty electronic equipment to component level and identify failed components by using schematic diagrams, test equipment and reverse engineering techniques.
Due to ongoing expansion the Electronics Engineer will operate within the field service department to provide repaired and refurbished parts to keep machines that are outside of the manufacturer's warranty in operation.

The Electronics Engineer duties will be as follows:

Sourcing components, parts and other items from external suppliers and OEM's required to fulfill repair jobs and additional stock levels. This includes working with service documentation and diagrams to obtain part numbers and Identifying common issues and failures to order appropriate stock.
Scheduling and documenting repairs, job details and fault descriptions/remedies in digital format within a database.
Assess repair/repairs viability and cost effectiveness, Replicate Faults, Test and soak test individual repairs.
Keep and maintain localised stock levels of replacement components to ensure repairs are able to be completed swiftly.
Repair faulty electronic equipment to component level, identifying failed components by using schematic diagrams (Where possible), test equipment and reverse engineering techniques.
Repair, refurbish and soak test in-house faulty parts to replenish internal and field service stock levels.

Qualifications and Skills

Electrical and Electronics NVQ/ONC or above

Experience

Experience of working with a variety of different types of electronic equipment and failures with the ability to reverse engineer without the reliance on schematic diagrams and find solutions to failed components sometimes outside of OEM support. Able to manage and document own workload as well as communicate appropriately with other departments. Source components from external suppliers, and ensure repairs are cost effective.
