Now that the bank holiday weekend is over and the Easter celebrations have ceased, you might be sitting there thinking... 'I really want a new job'.

You might even be thinking... 'I really NEED a new job'.

If that is the case then why don't you spend the next couple of minutes reading this job ad.

I am recruiting for experienced Software Engineers in the Cheshire area on behalf of a Global Organisation. They are in the Finance/Banking/Insurance space and the position will involve hands on product development with a range of the latest Open Source technologies.

They are a true market leader with a focus on a 'quality first' approach to Software Development, adhering to coding standards (SOLID, DRY) and industry best practice. You will gain genuine (and tailored) career progression alongside the benefit of working in a friendly and collaborative office space.

But enough about them... this advert is all about you. Specifically, what you will need to know should you be interested in applying:

* Product Development - A background in a product-focused role would be ideal as this position will involve working on greenfield development for their internal systems/applications. Experience working on Enterprise-scale products would be even better.

* Technical Knowledge - They work with a range of technologies with a specific focus on the Java tech stack and languages/frameworks including Spring MVC, J2EE, PHP, Python and JavaScript. Exposure to MySQL and Oracle would also be highly beneficial.

* Agile/Scrum - They operate an Agile environment with a focus on Scrum/Kanban. Previous experience utilising Agile development methodologies is therefore crucial to be considered for this role. Wider knowledge of Continuous Integration and Test Driven Development would also be a nice little add-on.

* Stakeholder Management - Although they aren't a Consultancy or MSP, this role will involve occasionally liaising with internal stakeholders over a range of technical and non-technical issues. Excellent communication skills are therefore crucial.

In return for demonstrating some (hopefully all!) of the above, you will benefit from a highly competitive salary alongside a flexible benefits package including a company bonus scheme, 25 days holiday and private healthcare. Moreover, their office location is genuinely awesome and includes a 'Google-esque' campus complete with cafes, tennis courts and a fully serviced gym. Not bad eh?

So if you are genuinely sitting at work contemplating your next career move or simply fancy a chat to learn more about this role then give me a shout. You can call me on (see below). Alternatively, if you are unable to chat then send me an email to (see below)

Anything discussed will be kept completely confidential.
