Our client is a major player in the aerospace and defence industries. With a technologically advanced manufacturing base in Somerset they deliver excellence in all aspects of their product and the culture within which they work.
A pivotal role in their lean and highly efficient operation is now available. In charge of a small but highly skilled and motivated team, The Team Leader - Stores and Logistics reports to the Head of Supply Chain and is responsible for organising the receipt, storage, issue, dispatch and recording of material movements into the factory and finished goods out to the relevant customer. Two key measures optimise the role - Delivery On-Time & In Full to both customers and line-side, and Stock accuracy which is vital given the very high value of the stock under your control.
To join the Management Team of this leading-edge Corporation you will be a recognised self-starter, enthusiastic, energetic, resourceful and with the will to succeed and climb the Management tree.
You will probably be Graduate qualified with at least 3 years front-line warehouse, distribution and inventory control experience and knowledge of associated MRP, ERP and WMS applications.
Importantly, you will have managed small teams and have a reputation for getting things done through influencing others. Your background MUST be from a Manufacturing environment where continuity of line-side supply is paramount.
