The Role:

Our field based Retail Support Advisors/Merchandisers, travel between our client retail stores to carry out a variety of activities or 'calls' within each store.

On arrival at any of the stores, merchandisers are required to sign in and make the store aware of their presence, they are also required to build and maintain relationships with any of the relevant store contacts or managers.

Some of the activities we carry out within our stores are as follows:

  • Amending and auditing current promotional displays
  • Implementing new displays
  • Erecting and placing PoS (Point of Sale) material(s) and on some occasions this will need to be delivered to from home to the store
  • Identifying unsold and out of date stock - destroying and replenishing where required
  • Stock reporting and calculating what stock is required for the next store visit
  • Take photographs of displays to verify completed activities

This can be a physical role including aspects of prolonged periods of standing and bending in order to complete work on different levels, as well as manual handling activities i.e. lifting and carrying duties

To carry out any of the above activities our merchandisers are provided with planograms, briefings and hand held technology such as smart phones and PDAs. Our merchandisers are also sent journey plans detailing their upcoming activities one week in advance.

What you will need:

To join our team you would need to be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle (excl. some London areas). Due to the way that we work, you would also need to be self-motivated, driven and comfortable working and travelling alone. It is important that you're able to build and maintain relationships with store contacts and managers and have a good eye for detail. Our other essential criteria's for our merchandisers are as follows:

  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Flexibility with working days and hours
  • Able to work to deadlines
  • Able to receive clear instructions both verbally and in writing
  • Basic PC knowledge
  • Able to remain clam in a time sensitive situation
