Cover Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen in one of our expanding secondary schools in the Redbridge area.

This school is justifiably ranked amongst one of the best in the borough with a fantastic academic reputation. As a result of this, there is a huge expansion plan and you could be part of this.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Cover Manager on an interim basis who will be responsible for the following duties:

* Ensuring all classes are covered by teaching staff when there is temporary absence
* Arranging day to day cover for all staff including room bookings and changes
* Management of agency staff and in-house staff
* Liaising with all levels of staff
* Dealing with extremely confidential data
* Preparing and gathering appropriate cover work
* Dealing with appropriate safeguarding both internally and externally

To be considered for the role, you will need to have previously worked in a school environment and covered all areas of the above duties. Candidates will not be considered for the role without this experience.

In addition, candidates will have:-

* Excellent knowledge of ICT and school database
* Have excellent numeracy, literacy and analytical skills
* Have outstanding interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, whilst demonstrating a flexible approach
* Ability to work under pressure, role model resilience and ensure that deadlines are met
* Have a commitment to fulfilling the school's strategic intentions and sustaining excellence
