IT Operations Team Lead - Cambridge College

Our client, a Cambridge College is looking to recruit an IT Operations Team Lead who will have responsibility for the supervision of the IT Operations team and day to day running of the helpdesk function. The IT operations team comprises 3 other members of staff, of which one is an IT apprentice. The post holder will be required to provide broad technical input in this hands-on role.

Salary from £38,000 - £42,000 depending on experience and qualifications, plus an attractive benefits package

This Cambridge College has an excellent academic and research record. The College is a lively and friendly community, catering for approximately 70 academics, 190 staff and 650 undergraduate and graduate students. 

Whilst experience of IT is required in this role another important aspect will be the ability to lead the IT Operations team, support and critique projects as well as capable of setting and achieving challenging targets.

The postholder will work closely with the Director of IT supporting the strategic work of the department. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and entrepreneurial and will have a proven track record of success.
