Welspun UK Ltd has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join the Product Development and Design team based in Cheadle, Cheshire, to support the business and financial aspect of the department by handle a variety of analytical duties.
The successful candidate will provide direction and assistance to the design and product development team to ensure effective and consistent processes are used to manage the range management process in terms of data analysis, margin analysis and other essential data and insight required by the product team by providing the sales, margin and competitor analysis for a number of ranges.
As a Retail Merchandising Project Manager, your duties and responsibilities will be:
- Categorise sales and margin analysis, tracking sell through and category performance.
- Complete and conduct post seasonal reviews / reports after each season communicating / presenting outcomes and actions to the businesses Senior Management Team and clients.
- Project planning and costing reporting for new seasons. Communicating / presenting outcomes and actions to the businesses Senior Management Team and clients.
- Create option plans that deliver the business strategy, based on analysis of the previous and new seasons.
- Complete range plans ensuring the margin expectations are achieved.
- Market and competitor analysis - conduct store visits and ensure the price and quality matrix are updated regularly and presented to the Design and Product Development team.
- Update and maintain records of competitive quality, prices and sku count.
- Close alignment to sales and design, to ensure commercial success of product under development.
- Manage analysis of inventory data, liaising with the Merchandise Planner and Customer Services team, communicating the outcome with the Design and Product Development team.
- Attend SOP meetings, communicating the outcome and action plans to the Design and Product Development team.
- Work collaboratively with Sales and Retail Teams to meet the business sales, margin and product objectives.
An ideal Retail Merchandising Project Manager will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Educated to a degree standard in a related field (Merchandising / Project Management)
- Business and Financial analytical skills
- Strong organisation and commercial skills.
- Proficient in Excel (advanced)
- Experience in pricing structure / hierarchy.
- Commercial perspective
- Strong IT skills
- Industry related product knowledge.
- Market & competitor awareness
In return for this you will receive a salary of £33,000 per Annum.
