A high quality and sustainable house builder are looking to engage with a part time technical coordinator on a long term basis, to manage and ensure that design projects are delivered efficiently and to programme, whilst achieving targets for both the project and the brief.
You will be co-ordinating the management of external consultants who produce detailed working drawings for residential development projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Appointment of consultants
- Site visits and the attendance of site meetings
- Checking of the design drawings and documentation that have been produced
- Project support
- Liaise with Local Authorities and other external bodies to clear planning and building control conditions in a timely fashion.
- Prepare and monitor the project against a Development program to ensure information is provided in the necessary timeframe
The successful candidate with be commercially aware and have excellent communication skills with the ability to oversee multiple assignments at once. You will need to be able to liaise with an array of different contacts including - external bodies, authorities and specialists. Being a team player will be essential in this role, you will not be responsible for producing drawings however will need to be comfortable with using AutoCAD
Key Technical Attributes Needed:
Thorough understanding of:
- UK Building Regulations, CDM Regulations and the Planning process
- Accustomed user of Microsoft Office packages - Excel and Word
- Driving the delivery of technical information from site inception through to construction phase
- Achieving best value by value engineering and alternative solutions
This is a long term opportunity that will initially commence on a temporary basis to ensure both parties are happy, 3 days a week is required. This could suit someone looking for part time work or someone who is able to run this along side a current commitment. This company can be flexible and are happy to look at other suggestions also.
