Estimator
An experienced Construction Estimator is sought by a specialist independent main contractor based in central Somerset, who are searching for a key member to their pre-construction team due to a consistently increasing workload. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is looking to build upon their construction estimating and quantifying skills, with the scope to broaden experience across a varied and loyal client base across a mix of both build and mid-size civils projects.
Daily tasks will include the preparation and compilation of tenders working closely with administration support staff amongst a successful, long serving and supportive pre-construction team. Projects are typically a mix across residential, commercial, industrial and leisure projects which will draw upon your prior experience estimating projects in similar sectors.
You will provide input to the handover process from estimating to contract compilation, reviewing performance of the supply chain and regularly attending meetings with the client, designers, working closely with the companies Managing Director. Thus, you will be fully involved in the successful delivery and handover to clients being a key part of the contracting team with a strong understanding of costs both within build and civils projects.
Working with the business you will enjoy autonomy and working with an established, close knit team with high levels of retention both in terms of their client base and team members.
