Engineering Shift Manager
Location: Near Stoke
Salary: up to GBP49,000 depending on experience plus Overtime and other benefits
Shift: Days & Nights - 4on/4off

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Shift Manager to join a well known FMCG company. As a member of our Engineering Management Team you will be directly contributing to this vision through your core tasks and responsibilities.
Engineering Shift Manager Responsibilities
- Contribute to and assist in the implementation of improvement plans agreed with Engineering Controller or other members of the senior leadership team
- Ensure business development project work as identified by the Engineering controller is undertaken in an effective manner and completed within budget and on time
- To assist the engineering department in achieving its budget targets through the efficient use of materials and replacement parts
- Take ownership of the PPM system and ensure effective use of resource to deliver 100% adherence to schedule against the PPM schedule
- Effective time management and prioritisation of activities
- Undertake direct line management of your engineering shift team
- To follow the correct accounting/authorisation process when ordering replacement parts
- Maintain and improve standards of hygiene and housekeeping in all areas of the factory including the engineering office and workshop
- To undertake emergency breakdown repairs in a timely and efficient way on all production equipment and refrigeration plant
- To ensure both you and your direct staff have received all the necessary training and development to enable effective capability within the team to work on all production/refrigeration equipment and to undertake tasks in a safe manner.
- To assess team development needs and action accordingly.
Engineering Shift Manager Desirable Skills and Experience
- Multi-skilled apprenticeship preferred but not essential
- Electrical/Mechanical qualification, HND
- FMCG experience
- PC and PLC competent
- Significant Trouble shooting and fault finding diagnostics and resolution experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
