ACR are working with the residential development arm of a major main contractor to appoint a Quantity Surveyor / Sub-contract Buyer. The company are based in Loughton and annually produce 200+ units of traditional and high-rise housing across North and East London and Essex, with up to six live projects at any given time.
You will be responsible for preparing scopes of work, tendering and appointing subcontractors, and scheduling work and payments along with the Site Manager. Being given more control over the subcontractors than a regular developer would will allow you to negotiate and plan orders from an early stage, as well as avoid extensive, ongoing valuations taking place.
The existing commercial team are small, but very stable and the company overall has very little staff turnover. They plan to increase their output to 300 units next year, and 350 the year after, and are recruiting accordingly.
You will ideally come from a traditional housebuilding background, and have a proven track record of commercially managing private sale developments. You will be rewarded with an experience-appropriate, negotiable salary and benefits package; with the opportunity to put your name to some very high-spec and significantly sized developments
