Our client, an international health based organisation who is a leader in their field, is recruiting for a PR Coordinator to join their fast paced marketing communications team.
The PR Coordinator will work with the Marketing and Communications team, and will be tasked with increasing brand awareness via print and online PR, and working with consultants and consumers to engage them in activity that will generate PR opportunities.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Source, organise & manage day-to-day media opportunities to grow PR coverage of the company
* Build media relations - local, regional and national in print and online
* Engage with consumers and write press releases and features as required
* Advise Consultants on their press releases and activity as required
* Project manage and implement annual competitions, ensuring a detailed plan is in place
* Identify topical and appropriate angles for the media
* Provide support to internal teams at the Annual Convention
* Plan and manage photo shoots - source locations for magazine shoots, plan and attend regular London photoshoots, brief photographers, stylists and make-up artists, and work with internal teams to maximise opportunities
* Support the development of the company Blog - plan, write and implement content with the team
* Edit and project manage the bi-annual consumer magazine
* Collate and analyse media coverage and report internally
* Attend external events which require PR engagement as required
* Establish and maintain a database of stories
* Manage relevant agencies
* Monitor and report on budgets for magazines, special projects, blog and PR photo shoots
Skills and experience required:
* At least three years' experience working in a consumer PR environment - preferably client side
* Experience of demonstrating the ability to form relationships and engage with key journalists
* Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
* Excellent written communication skills - for press releases, consumer magazine and blog
* Structured and disciplined approach
* Ability to work under pressure, prioritise effectively and meet tight deadlines
* Driving licence and use of a car
Salary and benefits:
* GBP20,000 to GBP23,000
* Discretionary profit share scheme up to 15% of salary
