Our client has a unique opportunity available for a Warehouse Manager to join their team in Edmonton, North London. The role is a full time, permanent position working 09:00 – 17:30. They are offering a salary of £23,000 - £25,000 per annum plus excellent benefits.

The main objective of the role is to provide assistance with the running of the Warehouse department. This involves supervising staff and delegating tasks, conducting routine checks and controls, supervising the preparation of customer orders for picking, packing, and dispatch. In addition, the post holder must be ready to step in at a moment’s notice when the Operations Manager is unavailable to run the department. The Warehouse Manager reports to the Operations Manager in the first instance supporting the Warehouse Department.

What are the responsibilities of the Warehouse Manager?

- To liaise with and update the Operations Manager daily about day’s work, events, suppliers’ receipts, staff, and any issues that may arise as required.

- To supervise the preparation of customer orders for picking, packing, and dispatch in order of priority.

- Manage all correspondence and take on administrative tasks as required.

- Update dispatch reports on a daily/monthly basis for Stakeholders.

- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager where necessary.

- Prepare the daily work planner to ensure correct staffing levels are assigned to each task

- Be the point of contact for the team and be responsible for escalating issues/challenges to relevant managers and departments.

- Monitor and oversee the team in all areas of the picking accuracy to ensure training guidelines and processes are adhered to

- Ensure end of day processes are carried out with precision.

- Manage the warehouse staff timings such as lunch breaks.

- Implement and manage health and safety regulations.

- Implement and conduct training programs for team where deemed necessary.

- Undertake any training relevant to the efficient execution of any of the above duties, and to take responsibility for his/her own professional development.

What do they look for in a Warehouse Manager?

- Level 1/2/3 Certificate/Diploma in Warehousing and Storage

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience

- Understands what excellent customer service entails

- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations

- Experience working in a warehouse office

- Experience of managing a team

- A forklift licence

- Strong numeracy and literacy skills

- Strong IT Skills

- Strong organisational and administration skills

- Solid interpersonal and communication both verbal and written skills

- An appropriate level of fitness
