Service Controller - Plant industry
Salary 28k - 40k
Service Controllers required for a leading organisation within the plant industry.
We are looking for people with a strong Technical background. Your role will be varied and entail the managing the internal workshop engineers, the flow of work through the workshop, general productivity and also managing a very demanding customer base. Also managing external service engineers and contractors, again managing the distribution of work and workloads of these engineers to ensure customers are again happy with the service levels provided.
This role is very fast paced and require a strong technical knowledge so that you can make decisions and get the engineers moving quickly. Positive forward thinking and confident people are required!
The role would suit an ex engineer, workshop controller or manager with strong knowledge of the Plant industry.
The Role:
As a service controller you will be taking the next step in your career from being a service/maintenance engineer. You will be leading a busy service team supporting operations across the South of the UK, you will be organising and managing service calls, providing technical support to engineers and taking a leadership role mentoring up to 10 direct reports. This is an excellent opportunity for a time served engineer to start on the management path.
The Candidate:
* Strong technical background having worked on yellow plant equipment including: engines, drive chains, hydraulics, and electrics.
* Outstanding attitude to customer service and support.
* No previous managerial experience necessary though this would be a benefit.
