Looking for an Engineer to work at a state of the art automation site in Staffordshire. Would suit someone with experience as a Service Engineer, Avionics Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Ex-Military Engineer or similar. Great career progression opportunity within the company.

First People Solutions are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer for our client based in Staffordshire. With over 1400 active systems worldwide, our Client ranks among the leading solution providers in logistics automation and warehouse software. They design, install, maintain and upgrade systems that feature the latest automated picking, conveying and storage technology.
Due to their ongoing success, and brand new automation sites being built around the UK, our Client is experiencing significant growth and an exciting opportunity has therefore arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the Team.
The Role
The successful Candidate will be responsible for carrying out pre planned/ preventative maintenance on varied machinery, ensuring operation on site runs efficiently within the correct Health and Safety standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Undertake fault finding/breakdowns on units to identify faults and solutions, using schematics and diagrams.
- Carry out maintenance in accordance with any schedule.
- Carry out repairs or additional work arising from examination (Electrical and some Mechanical)
- Work effectively as part of a team, including taking the lead when appropriate.
- Comply with safety systems and responsibilities.
- Complete and paperwork required.
- Develop a proactive approach to safety and quality matters.
The Ideal Candidate
- Must have served an apprenticeship or equivalent, supported by appropriate technical studies.
- Have a proven technical fault finding track record. (PLC knowledge is desirable but not essential)
- Able to solve technical problems where timescales are limited.
- Self-motivated and able to react to a wide variety of situations.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Commutable to Staffordshire
Salary, Benefits and Working Hours
- GBP30,595 per annum + Private Medical and Pension
- Good progression opportunities
- Good annual pay review based on personal performance.
- Shifts hours are 6-6 pattern is 4 Days 4 Off 4 Nights 4 Off
