Power Electronics Design Engineer, Fareham, Hants.
Stream Recruitment are seeking a Power Electronics Design Engineer for a client based local to Fareham, Hants .
The purpose of the role would be to create design solutions for electronic products in line with the company's business needs through innovation ,creativity and professionalism .working with minimal supervision other on your own or in a project team and at times you'll be masked to manage a project this will require building a close working relationship with sales ,engineering, purchasing and the logistics teams .
The right candidate will have the following experience .
Master or bachelor of science in Electronics or equivalent ,Experience in the design of electronic products from specification through design and test, to production. Partitioning of designs between hardware and software. Compact, efficient, toleranced and reliable designs .
Experience of : thermal management, Control theory, Experience of analogue (small signal and power), power magnetics, IGBT, MOSFET devices and digital electronics ,Experience of: DC motor design and control in kW range or PSU design, 10's kW, up to several kV. Power factor correction ,Knowledge of microcontrollers/DSP, Serial interfaces (UARTs, I2C, SPI, CAN bus) Knowledge of design for EMC/ESD compatibility ,Knowledge of electrical wiring regulations .
