Based: Harrow
Our client is a Principal contractor with an exciting opportunity for a Highways Operative to join their team on a permanent or Temp/Perm contract. You will be maintaining the streetlights and associated furniture across the City of Nottingham and as a result, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highway Lighting Operative.
You will be responsible for the installation of the full range of highway lighting apparatus including street lighting furniture, central island poles, stand off brackets, poles and signs. You will work outdoors and at height and hold responsibility for operating mobile elevated works.
To be successful in this role, you should be able to work as part of a team and individually. You should have excellent communication and organisational skills and a good knowledge of the local road network and layout would be advantageous.
You should have an understanding of utility drawings, and the dangers of damaging underground services, however, training will be provided.
You should have experience of working on the highway and be in possession of a current Street works qualification card (NRSWA). Experience in working in electrical works or electrical qualifications would be advantageous.
