THE CANDIDATE

Technical Product Manager / Process Engineer

The role will be to work in conjunction with the project and design teams to generate, control and manage specifications, design information and standards as required according to Company procedures that will be cost effective, functional and reliable as appropriate to the standards expected of the Company's equipment.

The successful candidate will support all aspects of the business to ensure correct understanding, use the implementation of the allocated design, product, process, or discipline - driving the Global Design Standards of the Pharma division.

The Technical Product Manager / Process Engineer must have:

They will also be required to demonstrate the following attributes:

- Creative approach to problem solving, and can work well under pressure
- Manage their allocated specialist area(s), taking key day-to-day decisions to ensure products meet the customer and regulatory requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or HND with relevant experience
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry
- Experience taking ownership of the complete design from project kick off through to completion ensuring adherence to budget and schedule
- Experience liaising with customers, manufacturing facilities and various other external parties
- Strong knowledge of good design for manufacture methods
- Experience taking full responsibility of tasks allocated to them ensuring they are efficiently and effectively completed whilst giving particular attention to project hours, cost and schedule requirements

THE ROLE

Technical Product Manager / Process Engineer

The Technical Product Manager / Process Engineer will be responsible for:

- To give strong product and process management to all aspects of their allocated specialist area(s)
- To manage their allocated product design, taking key day-to-day decisions to ensure the products meet the relevant customer and regulatory requirements
- To take responsibility for new designs and design changes within product / process range producing a complete package of documents as necessary to fully establish the design definition.
- To ensure new and existing products follow good design for manufacture methods
- Works alongside the project teams to resolve specification information such that specific project requirements are correctly understood and executed, will require liaison with Sales and Contracts Departments in all worldwide divisions
- Liaison with manufacturing facilities to ensure suitability of manufacturing design
- To ensure that machines delivered fulfil the applicable national and international Standards and Norms, e.g. BS, ASME, VDI etc. by considering all such standards during the development of new designs and design change activities
- Implement, maintain, and manage (as far as possible) a range of standard equipment within their specialist area ensuring that all processes are properly considered and communicated to / with, e.g.:

- Suppliers and Procurement Team to implement standard (costing) agreements
- Commercial Team for standard costing data
- Sales
