Electro-Mechanical Assembler
Our client is a small specialist engineering company currently seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler who will primarily be working with microscopes to bond very small strain gauges on to various components. Other duties will include soldering of small wires to PCBs, a small amount of mechanical assembly and some testing, following set instructions. The Electro-Mechanical Assembler should have steady hands with possible experience with Strain Gauging. Alternatively IPC-A-610 soldering certification due to the small size of these components.
Responsibilities of Electro-Mechanical Assembler
• Bonding of stain gauges onto substrates.
• Soldering of very small wires onto tabs and PCB pads.
• To carry out some mechanical assembly.
• All to agreed standards / procedures.
Experience / Qualifications
• Experience of working with extremely small devices is desirable.
• Working under a microscope for prolonged periods.
• Able to follow written and verbal English instructions.
• IPC-A-160 soldering skill
Personality
• Able to work proactively within a small team.
• Willing to learn new skills and techniques.
• Able to be flexible in terms of working hours when required.
Full-time role. 09:00 to 17:00, Mon - Friday
