KPJ Group have an opening for a Production Engineer to be responsible for the smooth introduction of products and process, quality improvements and cost reduction in manufacturing. It will be your duty to collect data for process improvement and ERP systems.
Duties and Responsibilities as a Production Engineer:
Process
- Identify and implement process improvements. Assist with the implementation of new processes.
- Produce standard times for input to the ERP system.
- Monitor and ensure standard times and Quality levels are achieved.
- Produce Reports and capital justifications for process improvements.
NPI
- Liaise with development, attend product review meetings, Provide DFM input, Identify and implement manufacturing and test methods to introduce new products.
- Develop and document standard method and production instructions
Health and Safety
- Comply with company H&S procedures and legislation.
- Identify and implement safety procedures and documentation to comply with current legislation.
- Produce risk assessments for processes.
Skills and Qualifications as a Production Engineer:
- HNC or higher in electrical/electronic engineering
- Assembly and test process
- Process improvement techniques.
- New product introduction.
- Maintenance of equipment.
- Electromechanical assembly.
- Competent on Excel, Word, Email
- Knowledge of Assembly processes
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
- BSc or Higher in relevant engineering discipline.
- Lean manufacturing techniques
- Process control.
- Design of automated process and test equipment.
- Factory layout and process flow.
- Electronic assembly.
- High Voltage assembly and test.
Salary is up to GBP37,000 depending on experience
37.5 hours a week (8am-4:30pm Mon- Thur and Friday 8am-1:30pm)
37.6 Full time, permanent contract
