Engine Technician (Reliability and Maintenance)
Essex area
GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 basic salary + Overtime + Call out payments + Car + Phone + Fuel Card + 5% Pension Contributions + 2.5 x salary life cover + Private Medical options
Engine Technician required within a highly successful and growing business within the clean power generation industry.
The role will be suited to engineers from heavy engines maintenance and improvements backgrounds, regular training and development opportunities will be offered on a team and individual basis and will be both internal and external based training environments.
This position will be most appealing to those who are continually looking to improve their skillset and knowledge and add value within the team, although no immediate opportunities to be promoted to managerial level roles are anticipated in the short term.
You will have experience maintaining large engines such as Jenbacher, Caterpillar, Deutz or similar experience within a heavy vehicle or plant maintenance industry background. Those from heavy military, HGV, construction plant or generators will be considered, any power generation industry experience will be highly advantageous.
The role will be mainly within Essex at a few main sites where the engines are used to convert gases into usable electricity that is directed back to the main grid, a basic understanding of electrical fault finding and modern engine diagnostics equipment will be needed but a full electrical team will be on projects so this is not an essential skill set to apply for thr role. You will work on regular maintenance programs, carry out diagnostics for repairs and work on reliability and improvements projects within the team. Overtime and Callout will be in a shared and organised pre-arranged fashion.
The Person Required:
* Experienced mechanical engineer from a heavy engines maintenance and improvements background.
* Any Jenbacher, Caterpillar, Deutz or similar experience would be ideal but not essential
* Live within commutable distance of South Essex and hold full driving licence
