Hours: Part Time - 15 hours per week - worked Monday and Tuesday (09:00- 17.00)

About the role

Working within Student Services as part of the Student Information Team, the advisor will be the first point of contact for all student enquiries. The team provides an approachable and professional service at all times, dealing with the various enquiries that come via the Student Information Desk (in person), telephone and email. In addition to assisting our students the team also help lecturers, other professional staff and visitors on a daily basis. The role of student advisor combines both excellent customer service as well as wide ranging administrative tasks giving the team a pivotal role in the student cycle.  

About you (requirements)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to provide excellent customer service and administrative support to students throughout their time at University. You must have a positive and proactive approach to an ever changing environment whilst possessing excellent administrative and organisational skills. A high level of proficiency in using computer systems is essential as is a flexible and can-do attitude.

As a student advisor, you will need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively as you will deal with a wide variety of people, often involving complex scenarios. You'll have an eye for detail, as accurate working is essential for written communications and for maintaining student records.
