We are currently recruiting to the following post:
Family Monitors NVQ 3 required and/or experience of working with children and families (Based either Bromley or South Croydon) Day and Wake Night Shifts available.
You will be part of an assessment team, including family assessors, psychologists, and therapists, working in a busy residential family setting or in the community. You will undertake imaginative assessments and work with children and families as part of a multidisciplinary team

Specific duties.
To escort family members on shopping expeditions, to hospitals, to the GP, to Court, to their homes, on recreational outings etc. as required by the shift leader/case co-ordinator
To observe feeding regimes, bottle sterilisation, making up feeds, parent child interaction etc
To observe nappy changing, cleaning, creaming, parent child interaction etc
To observe bath times, safety (water depth/temperature) parent child interaction etc
Observations 2,3,& 4 to be undertaken in accordance with the requirements of the Duty Manage/shift leader and agreed care plan and recorded contemporaneously
To look after/baby sit children as required by the Duty Manager/shift leader/case co-ordinator
To monitor/visit on a planned or ad hoc/random basis all parents/carers and their children to maintain their safety and to report any concerns to the families case co-ordinator and to record said concerns on the family's file.
To respond to the needs of families to promote their welfare and safety as requested or observed
To assist in the maintenance of a safe and secure residential environment and report all maintenance concerns to the Duty Manager/shift manager
To administer access to medications and record all transactions accordingly
To under take room checks as required by the shift leader in accordance with the case plan
To contribute to case discussions and hand overs as required
To log the comings and goings of families, their visitors (professional and familial or friends) in the visitors book and in case files
To participate in team meetings, training sessions and health and safety procedures
To supervise and record contact sessions with children and parents/carers and
To undertake any other duties & responsibilities in accordance with the exigencies of the service.
N.B.The Shift Leader may be a Family Monitor, Social Worker, Case Coordinator or Senior Manager. The Company is Jamma Umoja Integrated Services Ltd.
