Account Manager- GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 + benefits - FTSE 100 Organisation

I am recruiting on behalf of a FTSE 100 Engineering Organization and a true market leader within engineering support services. This particular role supports major contracts with MOD at multiple locations throughout the UK.

We are looking for an accomplished Account Manager to develop relationships with key stakeholders within the client organisations, providing a key point of contact for the customer whilst facilitating the flow of information between both sides.

Further to this, you will proactively identify business development opportunities; producing detailed proposals, identifying risks, resource levels, revenue and profit.

Main Purpose of Role

- Understand the customer's requirements and develop a collaborative relationship towards achieving shared goals, operating within the boundaries of the Service Provision and Transformation Contract (SPC)
- Building effective and productive internal and external stakeholder relationships based on trust.
- Monitor, review and initiate any required action to ensure contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are met, working towards increasing unmitigated performance levels.
- Provide a point of contact for all customer enquiries and Requests For Information (RFI's)
- Recording, classifying and reporting on customer concerns, issues and risks and ensuring accurate responses are returned to the customer in a timely fashion, as appropriate to the task agreed.
- Understand and contribute towards the optimisation of internal processes, through the application of Lean Principles, value stream analysis, process mapping techniques etc.
- Support all MRO activities to meet customer Required Deliver Dates (RDDs), identifying and communicating risks to I&RM at earliest opportunity.
- Liaise with Ops Key Account Managers (KAMs) and Business development manager with regard to (Customer Feedback Forms (CFFs), new business opportunities and Contract Change Notifications (CCNs) and participate as required to progress all three to resolution; respecting and observing the interdependencies involved.
- Identify and communicate developments in customer requirements arising from planned activities and a result of operations, exercise, training activity and/or fleet size adjustments.
- Undertake and support audit activity as required and be key drivers for the implementation of any arising corrective and preventive actions.

Requirements:

- Demonstrates strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Demonstrates strong IT, data analysis and presentation skills; all Microsoft applications.
- Demonstrates good organisational skills and capability in managing multiple -sometimes conflicting- tasks
- Has a proven management record within SCM.
- Has capability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders and develop effective relationships based on trust.
- Commercially astute.
- Demonstrates an understanding of customer focus and how to embed it within organisational culture and process.
- Demonstrates experience of conflict management, exhibiting a robust and resilient character and capable of communicating clearly and calmly whilst under pressure.

- Full UK driving license.
- Willingness to travel within the UK, approximately 3 days per week.
- General business management skills, with a proven record of innovation and change management and of delivering demonstrable benefits to the organisation.
