Graduate Mechanical / Applications Engineer

Graduate Mechanical / Applications Engineer required. Our client manufactures a variety of solutions to the Oil & Gas industry and due to continued growth are now seeking a new Applications Engineer to join the team. The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will be involved with a range of projects and be required to deliver the technically challenging projects on time and to budget.

The Applications Engineer will also use CAD/CAM software to produce detailed drawings for manufacture. It is also expected that the Applications Engineer will provide reviews and reports where necessary and will liaise with clients in respect of repairs, servicing and technical issues.

Graduate Mechanical/ Applications Engineer Position Overview

- Produce drawings and technically challenging projects in line with company procedures.
- Support the improvement of current engineering processes.
- Use of CAD/CAM software to support designs
- Carry out spare part audits
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain prices for refurbishment projects

Graduate Mechanical/ Applications Engineer Position Requirements

- Graduate in a Mechanical subject or time served engineer
- 2+ years post grad experience
- Knowledge of 3D CAD packages - Solidworks/ Siemens NX
- Strong communication skills
- IT Literate
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes

Graduate Mechanical/ Applications Engineer Position Remuneration

- Salary GBP23-25K+ (dependent upon experience)
- 28 days' holiday (including bank holidays)
- Pension
