We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Procurement Planner to join our Tamworth team. Responsible for bringing stock into the business to support demand and to ensure consistent stock levels at all times, working closely with the Commercial and Sales team. This role is for a highly motivated individual, preferably with experience in purchasing or Inventory Management. You will need to strive for excellence in customer service whilst maintaining minimum stock levels and achieve agreed stock turnover.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

+ Using excellent team work and communication take control of daily issues to resolve in a calm and confident way.
+ Working in a busy office environment placing purchase orders in line with demand, generated through sales and in line with recommended system generated stock levels.
+ Using ‘in house’ systems monitor and adjust parameters to ensure deliverables outlined in customer agreements are hit and maintained with changing requirements.
+ Work with the operations team to ensure clean turnaround of delivered orders in line with your expectations.
+ Work closely with the customer service team (your customer) to ensure they have enough information to offer a high service level to the end customer.
+ To build and maintain relationships with account managers, commercial team and suppliers to provide quick resolution to industry challenges.
+ Thinking outside of the box and looking for new ways to improve processes whilst keeping stock value under target and providing a high percentage of stock availability.
+ To ensure that stock bought into the business is the minimum amount of stock needed and where appropriate challenge the minimum order quantity.

A confident individual comfortable in a business environment with an awareness of the needs of the business and an understanding of the importance of balance. With the ability to listen to the challenges of any situation and offer resolutions whilst remaining inside the guidelines of bringing stock into the business. We are seeking a individual with good communication skills, excellent attention to detail and be able to work alone when required. 

The successful candidate must thrive in a fast moving environment dealing with many day to day challenges using their own initiative coupled with their extensive knowledge of ERP systems. It is essential they are self-motivated, focused, flexible, numerate, possess excellent organisational skills and be able to communicate accurately and effectively.
