Senior Motor Drives Design Engineer - Somerset - GBP Highly Competitive
Senior Engineer sought by thriving company to design power electronics and specification of motors for a range of new products and drive technologies for actuation. It is essential to have experience with motor inverter design and power electronics for both low and high voltage mains systems.
Applications are sought from highly experienced Motor Drives Design Engineers with a good academic background and several year's post-graduate commercial design experience.
You will take responsibility for the design of electronic hardware and software for the company's products with a focus on power systems; you'll conduct research and undertake feasibility studies into new methods of valve actuation as well as producing specifications for new products. Strong interpersonal skills are required as you will be liaising with customers and suppliers.
Key Skills & Experience Sought:
- Good Degree in Electronic / Electrical Engineering.
- Motor specification and analysis.
- Power Electronics for low and high voltage mains systems.
- Motor inverter design including thermal and EMC considerations.
- Software design using C or C++ for embedded microcontrollers.
- CAD systems such as DXDesigner / Pads.
- Analogue Circuit Design.
