Based at our offices on the western fringes of Bury St Edmunds, you will have responsibility for producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts; providing contract analysis and profit trending and managing and developing the maintenance of key financial ‘budget' information.

This is a varied and challenging role which provides huge scope for progression and exposure across the business. We are looking for customer-focused and pro-active individuals with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Provision of contract based financial information to the operation
  • Benchmarking and financial trend analysis to highlight best and worst performing sites and help to drive operational efficiencies
  • Managing and developing the maintenance of key financial ‘budget' information for every site to ensure full control of costs through the business
  • Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly revision of budgets (i.e. Preparation of quarterly forecasts)
  • Ownership of the balance sheet and responsibility for maintaining reconciliations
  • Compliance with Group Financial Policy and procedure and establishment of additional policy and procedure as required
  • Management of audit each year
  • Will ensure full and complete controls are in place on all business costs and expenditure
  • Control and management of all financial systems / applications
  • Assistance in due diligence projects (including modelling etc.) and integration following any acquisition
  • Development and maintenance of a company ‘dashboard' incorporating key business indicators
  • Other ad-hoc work and projects as directed by the business

Suitable Candidates

  • ACCA / CIMA qualified / finalist
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to demonstrate strong personal integrity, confidence and discretion
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Customer focused and proactive
  • Able to deal with a fast paced continuously evolving role
  • An open and honest approach
  • Determined and focused on achievement
  • Effective communication skills
  • Access Accounts (Dimension / Focalpoint) experience preferred.
