The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) is embarking an ambitious programme of business change supported by a complete refresh of how we support this technically.

We are looking to retire numerous bespoke, legacy applications and replace them with modern enterprise class systems as per our IT strategy. This will transform the way in which we deliver services to the business.

At the IPO you will be responsible for contributing to the design and architectural assurance of IPO solutions. Working in pre and post project implementations with Solutions and Enterprise Architects, you will interact with the business, project teams and any partner organisations or suppliers to ensure that the product set is positioned correctly and that the design is "fit for purpose" and will deliver the expected end-user benefits.

We need an innovative person who is able to identify and recommend improvements that fit in with the strategic direction of the organisation. He/she must be able to demonstrate sound judgement whilst providing accurate, expert and professional advice. The work will have dependencies and impact upon other projects and the person must therefore be able to demonstrate good leadership, communication and collaborative working skills.

The work will be project based and therefore there is a requirement for the successful candidate to have previous experience of delivering results on time and within budget
