Junior Mac Artworker Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Packaging & Print team of one of the UK’s most successful lighting companies. The company is a forward-thinking and progressive leader in the lighting industry with promising and exciting plans for the future.

As a Mac Artworker your responsibilities will include:

• Referring to style guides and templates to determine necessary artwork elements and standards
• Assisting with the production and retouching of digital images including photo studio set-up
• Producing artwork for packaging, labels and other marketing materials as required
• Proofing artwork PDFs and using on-line proofing/workflow tools
• Liaising with printers and external service providers to obtain quotations and samples
• Producing 2D and 3D ‘mock ups’ and visual samples for use in presentations and exhibitions
• Collating, distributing and tracking printed materials, proofs, approval samples etc worldwide

The Person

It is essential that you can produce repro-ready artwork to a high standard and be able to take projects from initial asset preparation through to final print stage. Excellent skills in Adobe  InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop are required along with a keen eye for detail and consistency. You must be quick, methodical and accurate with your artwork and be comfortable working under pressure to tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

Ideally, you will have at least 2 years’ experience in an artwork/print/packaging environment. Some knowledge of digital studio photography techniques would also be beneficial.

Salary negotiable on experience.
