Activiti Developer

Activiti Developer with strong Core JAVA Development experience including JEE, Spring, JUnit, Agile and TDD. You should also have experience of SQL, Maven, Jenkins, DevOps and Source code control.

Activiti Developer Key Skills
Experience of working within an Agile Development team and a good understanding of agile practices - ideally SCRUM
Experience of Test-Driven Development, Unit Testing, Continuous Integration and Delivery
Experience with testing frameworks (Junit, Cucumber and Mockito in particular)
Experience with GitHub: Branching and merging, Jenkins
Pair Programming (Social skills)

Activiti Developer Technical Skills
Essential:
Very strong Activiti experience, ideally with BPMN/BPEL knowledge
5 years of core development - Java, JEE, Spring, JUnit
Experience of SQL, Maven, Jenkins, DevOps, source code control experience
Working on cloud based systems

Activiti Developer Desirable:
design patterns, debugging tools, desire to automate and deliver quality code, Application Server exposure, WebSphere and JBoss in particular
Any Fuse experience

Activiti Developer Key Responsibilities
Advise on management of the Activiti environment, liaising with other project teams to look at common patterns.
Mentor and train other team members in the use of Activiti and best practice
Work as part of an agile team to deliver the requirements specified in the project backlog especially around the migration off the WebSphere process server and translation of BPEL to BPMN.
Work with the agile team and the product owners to agree and specify detailed tasks and approaches, including to Fuse Integration layer.
Follow and contribute to development guidelines and working practices for the team
Actively be involved in and contribute to the various agile activities, including backlog grooming, planning, demonstrations and retrospectives.

Background
We are seeking an experienced Developer, with strong Activiti skills as a hands-on developer, to join our OPSBANK2 WebSphere Replacement Project team in the Business Technology Services (BTS) Group. This project will refresh OPSBank2's underlying technology, currently built on WebSphere with a cloud based solution based on JBOSS. The primary purpose of the application is to manage the enrichment, storage and distribution of metadata associated with scientific, medical and engineering journals in the form of Citation abstract references and indexes records (CARS).
