The organization is a registered charity that has been providing care, support and advice for over 30 years to vulnerable people across Hampshire and Dorset, giving them the tools and resources they need to live independent, secure and valued lives.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, motivated and innovative people to join our Domestic Violence and Abuse Service to deliver a brand new service within the communities of Hampshire.

Following a successful national grant bid we have developed a project providing specialist, targeted support to individuals and families with diverse and complex needs and those from isolated and marginalised communities. Our Specialist Domestic & Abuse Workers will be expected to achieve effective move-on from accommodation-based services and seek to support those where traditional refuge accommodation is not suitable to find alternative accommodation. Working directly with refuge staff, management, community-based domestic abuse services and housing agencies you will increase expertise across these teams and are crucial to raising standards, create pathways and support, and to strengthen networks.

You will be part of a team who cover Hampshire and will be working within an allocated area, however there may be times when you will be required to work across the county and attend meetings, supervisions and training at other locations so flexibility is a must. As a Specialist DVA Worker you may also be co-located with other organisations across the county to assist the identification and engagement of isolated and marginalised communities.
